Sandritas Pikliz "spicy pickled slaw"

Pikliz (pronounced pick-lees) is a pickled slaw or relish known for its spicy,tangy and crunchy qualities. Used as a condiment in Haitian cuisine and often served alongside richer, fried dishes to balance flavors and cut through the fattiness. My pikliz is made with thinly sliced green cabbage, grated carrots, Habanero and Scotch bonnet peppers, onions, vinegar, citrus and addl. spices for added depth of flavor.
